About the course

1. What courses are available from Move Training?

Our flagship eLearning course is Motivating to Move.
This interactive, evidence-based course helps learners build the confidence and skills to support others to be more physically active. It’s designed around real-world practice, combining theory, reflection, and practical tools to help you make a lasting impact in your role. You can find out more about the course here.

2. Who is the course for?

Motivating to Move is designed for professionals working in physical activity delivery, health promotion, community engagement, and workforce development — practically anyone helping people to move more confidently and sustainably. It aims to develop the understanding, skills and confidence in those delivering or managing physical activity programmes to support sustained behaviour change.

3. What does the course involve?

You’ll work through 6 online modules and reflection logs, at your own pace. The on course content includes a range of videos, scenarios, reflective activities, and interactive content designed to help build your understanding and confidence. Once you commence the course, you will be able to save your progress, picking up where you left off each time. Once you have completed all of the content you will receive a Certificate of Completion to share with your employer, or to add to your portfolio.

4. How long will the course take to complete?

The length varies depending on your pace and engagement. As it’s self-paced, you can progress more quickly if you wish or take more time to reflect and apply the learning. There is no forced timeframe to complete the learning once you have started, although we advise planning how you will engage with the course at the start - as a guide, we advise to plan for 1 hour to complete each of the modules and reflection logs, meaning the entire course is the equivalent of up to 6 hours of contact time. 

5. Is the course aligned with evidence and best practice?

Absolutely! Motivating to Move has been co-developed with support from sector professionals, topic experts and evidence based practice. All course content is grounded in behaviour-change theory, physical activity evidence, and workforce development good practice, supported by our consultancy work across health and physical activity sectors. 

6. Is the course accredited?

Motivating to Move is a continued professional development (CPD) course, which offers the equivalent of 6 hours of learner contact time. The course is not affiliated to any external bodies as it aims to support professional spanning multiple sectors. This does not limit the quality of the content and learning - all content is evidence based, inspired by practical application and makes as a perfect contribution to you professional development targets with you employer, if you have them. 

7. Will I receive a certificate?

Yes — on successfully completing the course you’ll receive a downloadable Certificate of Completion, recognising your achievement and supporting your ongoing professional development. You can share this with your employer as evidence of your learning and keep it in your portfolio.

8. What happens if I leave the course and want to return later?

Whether you have had a change of plans, or simply want to squeeze in 10 minutes of learning at a time - your progress on course will be saved on the inbuilt learner management system, so you can pause and resume the course whenever it suits you.

9. Is the platform compatible with mobile devices?

We advise engaging with our eLearning course using a desktop computer, or laptop. Although the platform is designed to work across devices, using a mobile device (smart phone or iPad) may limit some of the interactivity of the content. 

10. How do I log in / create an account?

To purchase a course you will need to create an account. Once you have created an account, On the home page, select Sign in at the top of the page - you’ll need to provide your name, email, and a password. From here you will be able to see the course and where you last left it.

Cost and booking options

11. How much does the Motivating to Move course cost?

The full price of the course is £180 per learner - that's as little as £30 per module.
We also offer group booking discounts for organisations — please contact us for a tailored quote.

12. How do I pay and what payment methods are accepted?

You can pay online at checkout using standard card payment options. Payment is required in advance of starting the course. For organisational bookings, invoice payment can be arranged.

13. What if I belong to an organisation and want to licence courses for a team?

We have a “Create” offer for bespoke eLearning production and a “Customise” offer to adapt existing content to your brand and audience. You can find out more about these offers via the website and find links to get in touch to explore a package that suits your needs. 

14. What is your refund / cancellation policy?

Refund are processed via the Learn Worlds Platform and are governed under their policy. Terms are available in the platform’s Terms & Conditions

Technical support and help

15. What support is available if I get stuck?

The course is designed as a self guided programme, and we hope you will be able to complete it independently. This helps to ensure you can engage with the content in manageable chunks at a pace that works for you.

For help with accessing the content and using the Learn Worlds platform, you’ll have access to the general help section. (e.g., forgotten password, navigation guidance).

16. How do I log in / create an account?

17. How do I get help if I forget my password?

On the login page, select Forgot your password? and follow the prompts to reset your credentials.
